In my 12 years with Spinell Homes, I’ve learned a lot from the skilled professionals I’m lucky enough to call my coworkers. My duties include processing construction paperwork and warranties, and assisting the administrative team. Our commitment to our customers extends through every step of the process and shows in the dedication of every Spinell Homes employee. I enjoy being part of a team that offers affordable homes to Alaska families. My hobbies include playing softball and spending time with friends and family.

Housing is what I do. As a child, my mother would take me to home shows and my father would give me lumber for Christmas. I eventually turned my childhood love for homebuilding, into an exciting career where I get to make each house become a home for a special Alaska family.



I’ve seen Spinell evolve over the past 20 years. Almost every house we build is customized for the buyer’s lifestyle and the family’s needs. From extra tall shoe closets to the perfect sized mudroom for the family, I help the homeowner get what’s important for their family. Every house is created with the same passion, whether it’s a family’s first home or empty nest home.

My family is my whole world, I am extremely close to my parents and siblings. Family is at the heart of Spinell Homes and I’m proud to work for a company that lives my core values. I’ve been a member of the team for more than 20 years, and it’s because of my coworkers, my work family, that I enjoy reporting to work every day.

At Spinell Homes, we don’t cut corners. We work hard to provide each homeowner with safe and secure housing, while also giving them the home of their dreams. Spinell’s spirit of family extends to all Alaskans. I appreciate the work we do at Spinell because not only do we build homes, the company is committed to generously giving back to the Anchorage community.

Construction Manager

Spinell Homes is a company that gives all of its employees the opportunity to grow within the company. More than 20 years ago I started as a laborer and have worked my way up to Construction Manager. I love every aspect of my job but my favorite part is teaching others what I have learned throughout the years. I encourage every employee to take pride and respect in the homes we build, as if we are building them for our own families. In my position at Spinell Homes, I help build safe and secure homes by following all of the municipal regulations and safety controls, and ensuring that everyone who works on our homes does the same. I make certain that customers can safely walk through their homes during the construction phase, and always make myself available to answer questions or concerns. I enjoy living, working and traveling around Alaska with my family. In my free time I exercise and love to take my wife out dancing.

Supervisor

In my 19 years with Spinell Homes, I’ve worked my way up from a laborer to construction supervisor. Holding a number of positions within Spinell Homes allows me to understand every step of the construction process. As the construction supervisor, my job is to make every possible effort to build safe homes meeting the Spinell standard of quality and customization. I provide customers with as much information as possible to help them identify appropriate options and assist them in making informed decisions

I take pride in building homes that are personalized and customized to the individual homeowner. Every Alaskan deserves their dream home and I enjoy working for a company that provides affordable options for starter families and first-time homebuyers. Outside of work I enjoy attending church, camping and fishing with my family.

Carlos S. Garcia

Supervisor

Working at Spinell Homes for more than 20 years, I’m proud to have helped hundreds of families make their dream home a reality. I believe everyone deserves a safe and reliable home, and I don’t believe the home-buying process should be intimidating. As a Spinell Homes supervisor, I make sure this happens by overseeing the home building process from start to finish, ensuring every step passes inspection. For homeowners, I’m available for questions during every step and enjoy doing the final walk through and seeing their smiles as they look at their new home. 

Every home Spinell Homes builds is unique and caters to the homeowner, we don’t believe in the term “cookie cutter.” My coworkers at Spinell Homes are like family to me and I enjoy working for a company with strong values and a commitment to Alaskans. In my supervisor position at Spinell Homes I coordinate jobs with subcontractors, supervise side jobs, coordinate inspections, complete walk-throughs and oversee our staff. 

I’ve been blessed with three beautiful women in my life, my wife and two daughters. They keep my life interesting as we spend time enjoying the Alaska outdoors camping, fishing, hiking and traveling.

I’ve always enjoyed building; prior to working at Spinell Homes I built yachts and planes. In my 16 years with Spinell Homes I’ve worked with a talented team to build some of the finest homes in Alaska. Spinell Homes are quality homes for an affordable price, something that is tough to do in Alaska. I enjoy supervising the hard working team at Spinell Homes and watching Alaskans find the home of their dreams. Outside of work I enjoy riding motorcycles.

Jack Taylor

Warranty Supervisor

I’ve worked in the construction industry for 30 years. During my lengthy career, I’ve worked in every phase, which gives me a well-rounded perspective of the building process. As the Warranty Supervisor at Spinell Homes, I help with their best-in-the-business warranties. I enjoy meeting with new homeowners and sharing their excitement as they get the keys. It feels good knowing they’re covered by Spinell’s warranty, so the only thing they need to worry about is settling into their new homes with their families.
